Cookies

Some of the internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies." They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are required for the execution of the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions desired by you (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If other cookies (e.g., cookies for analyzing your surfing behavior) are stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files." These are:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Hostname of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

  • IP address

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which allows the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your data from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.

5. Plugins and Tools

LinkedIn

Our website uses features from the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When you access one of our pages that contains LinkedIn features, a connection is established to LinkedIn's servers.

LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our website with your IP address. We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or how LinkedIn uses it.

For more information, please refer to LinkedIn's Privacy Policy: LinkedIn Privacy Policy

Instagram

Use of Instagram Social Plugins: Our website uses so-called social plugins ("plugins") from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Instagram"). The plugins are marked with an Instagram logo, such as an "Instagram camera." You can find an overview of the Instagram plugins and their appearance here: Instagram Plugins

When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by Instagram and integrated into the page. By integrating this plugin, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of Instagram in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged into Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Instagram" button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there. The information will also be posted on your Instagram account and shown to your contacts. For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Instagram, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Instagram's Privacy Policy: Instagram Privacy Policy

If you do not want Instagram to directly associate the data collected through our website with your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of Instagram plugins with add-ons for your browser, such as the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).

WhatsApp

We use the instant messaging service WhatsApp on our website. The service provider is the American company WhatsApp Inc., a subsidiary of Meta Platforms Inc. (formerly Facebook Inc.). For the European region, WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, is responsible.

What is WhatsApp?

We probably don't need to introduce WhatsApp to you in detail. The likelihood that you use this well-known messaging service on your smartphone is relatively high. For many years, there have been concerns regarding WhatsApp and its parent company Meta Platforms regarding the handling of personal data. The main criticism in recent years has been about the merging of WhatsApp user data with Facebook. In response, Facebook adjusted its terms of use in 2021, stating that currently (as of 2021), no personal data of WhatsApp users is shared with Facebook. Nevertheless, WhatsApp processes various personal data if you use WhatsApp and have consented to data processing. This includes your phone number, chat messages, sent photos, videos, and profile data. However, photos and videos are supposed to be stored only temporarily, and all messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted, meaning they should not be accessible even to Meta. Additionally, WhatsApp also stores information from your address book and other metadata.

Why do we use WhatsApp?

We want to stay in touch with you, and WhatsApp is the most effective way to do so. Firstly, because the service works flawlessly, and secondly, because WhatsApp remains the most widely used instant messaging tool worldwide. The service is practical and enables uncomplicated and fast communication with you.

How secure is data transfer with WhatsApp?

WhatsApp processes your data, including in the USA. We would like to inform you that, according to the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of protection for data transfers to the USA. This can entail various risks for the legality and security of data processing. As the basis for data processing by recipients located in third countries (outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, especially in the USA) or data transfers there, WhatsApp uses so-called standard contractual clauses (= Art. 46. Abs. 2 und 3 DSGVO). Standard contractual clauses (Standard Contractual Clauses – SCC) are model templates provided by the EU Commission and are intended to ensure that your data complies with European data protection standards, even when transferred and stored in third countries (such as the USA). Through these clauses, WhatsApp commits to maintaining the European level of data protection when processing your relevant data, even if the data is stored, processed, and managed in the USA. These clauses are based on an implementing decision by the EU Commission. You can find the decision and the corresponding standard contractual clauses, among other things, here: EU Commission Decision

Information on data transfer with WhatsApp, complying with the standard contractual clauses, can be found at WhatsApp Business Data Transfer Addendum.

We hope we have provided you with the essential information about the use and data processing by WhatsApp. You can learn more about the data processed through the use of WhatsApp in the Privacy Policy at WhatsApp Privacy Policy
